Samsung Galaxy S4 Screen Is Completely Black Issue & Other Related Problems

Despite being released almost 3 years ago, the #Samsung Galaxy #S4 still has quite an impressive display. Sporting a 5 inch full HD 1080 x 1920 pixel Super AMOLED display, images on the screen appear vibrant and lifelike. One advantage of this display is that despite not having a high brightness level it’s outdoor performance under direct sunlight is outstanding due to its low reflectivity. There are however instances when some screen related issues on this device can occur.  S4 Screen Is Completely Black
Problem: My screen is completely black. My phone still gets notifications and vibrates and makes noise when it does. When I hit the power button, the buttons on the bottom (the pancake and arrow) light up, but the screen stays black. How can I fix this? Will I be able to replace it without paying a huge amount?
Solution: Did this proble m occur after you dropped your phone? If you dropped your phone then this could damage the phone display which may have happened in this case.
To troubleshoot this problem try to start your phone in recovery mode. It’s possible that you will be able to view the different options in this mode. If you are able to access this mode then I suggest you do a factory reset. Take note that this will delete your phone data so make sure to proceed with this if you have a backup copy.
If you are unable to access the recovery mode the this issue is most likely caused by a damaged display. You can have this checked and replaced if necessary  at an authorized service center. A replacement display usually costs around US$100.
